Michelle Bonfilio is EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer of Chamberlain Group. She brings deep experience partnering with CEOs and boards to align culture, leadership, and operating models – driving measurable impact in complex, high-growth environments. Known for her inclusive, global leadership style, she builds trust and followership by elevating voices across the organization.
Prior to CG, Michelle served as Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer at Help at Home, leading people and culture strategy for a 60,000-employee workforce. Before joining Help at Home, she was Chief People Officer at Covetrus, a global $5B animal health technology company, where she strengthened leadership capability and talent readiness across global markets during a period of transformation. She joined Covetrus from Petco, where she played a key role in enterprise transformation and IPO readiness, repositioning human capital as a core driver of growth.
Michelle began her CHRO career at The Wine Group and previously held leadership roles at Big Heart Pet Brands and Gap Inc. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, is a certified executive coach, and serves on the Advisory Board for Airvet. She lives in Chicagoland with her husband and two fur babies; she has a daughter at Tulane University.
